How to deal with the challenge of environmental asbestos in underground works?
More than 90 people gathered at CETU on 30th January to share a common vision of the issues and best practices surrounding environmental asbestos in underground works.
What are the methods and technical solutions for detecting and treating environmental asbestos underground? What regulations exist on this topic? What strategy should a project owner adopt when faced with the challenge of asbestos? How can risks be shared fairly among stakeholders?
These were among the questions addressed during thisworkshop, illustrated by feedback from a construction company (Spie Batignolles), a project manager (WSP-BG) and a project owner (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône).
The numerous discussions enabled the difficulties encountered by the profession to be identified and suggested avenues for progress and levers for action.
