The professionalisation of road tunnel operations staff: the GTFE proceedings are now available
The proceedings of the GTFE meeting on ‘"the professionalisation of staff for operational safety’" are now available on the GTFE website.
This meeting took place in June 2025 in Paris at the invitation of the DiRIF.
Feedback, a range of case studies and discussions highlighted common challenges faced by organisations with diverse profiles (central government, local authorities, motorway operators, etc.).
This document provides an overview of the regulatory and technical framework and will be followed by a CETU guide on the ‘Approach to the professionalisation of staff for the safe operation of road tunnels’, with publication scheduled for 2026.
