Tunnel Forum 2027 : call for proposals !
Organised by CETU and its partners Egis, Ingecom, Lombardi and WSP, the Tunnels 2027 Forum is established as the leading platform for sharing operational insights and practical solutions relating to the safe operation of road tunnels.
This event (in French) will take place on 2nd and 3rd June 2027 at the Cité Internationale in Lyon. Under the theme ‘Road tunnel operations: new challenges, new solutions’, it will consist of two full days of discussion, knowledge-sharing and innovation.
This forum offers a unique opportunity to share lessons learnt, innovations and analyses with the entire sector:
- project owners and operators (road and motorway network managers);
- engineering firms, manufacturers and providers of technical and digital solutions (design, equipment, software and smart systems);
- institutional bodies;
- operational services (emergency services, fire brigades, law enforcement agencies);
- representatives from academia and the research sector.
In order to develop the programme collaboratively, it has been decided to launch a call for proposals focusing on the changing uses of road tunnels, adaptation to emerging risks, the energy transition and digital transformation.
Submissions should be based on feedback from field experience, tried-and-tested and directly applicable solutions, as well as lessons learnt from the day-to-day operation of road tunnels, particularly in relation to the constraints encountered, the trade-offs made and changes in operational practices.

Next steps:
- Submission of proposals by 7 September 2026
- Notification of selected proposals: October 2026
